2018 summer I have stayed in Chongqing Dimensions Art Centre for the art residency project.DAC introduced me to the Hu iLing Association for people with Intellectual disability,especially for 16years old-50 years old person.

I was deeply touched by their truthful and kind nature.Also their paintings and dancing inspired me a lot.

We did a commonweal exhibition called during 18th.8.2017 to 24th.8.2017.

Exhibition including paintings created by those intellectual disability person and I created 3 projects inspired by their paintings and dancing.

The first project is called : Sensation. It’s an Augment Reality project which created an imaginary world in the space. The elements in this project were inspired by the creatures and characters appear in those paintings.

The second project is called:Perception . It’s a motion capture project.In this part the character on the screen will follow your movement and you can control the character to touch three lights in the space.The lights will change color and make sounds.

The third project is called: Representation. This is an 1min long 2D animation inspired by the Intellectual disability person’s dance movement. The three characters in this animation are suffering the Intellectual disability, autism and Down’s syndrome. Three children have performed the dance at the opening of the exhibition.

Many people were impressed by this exhibition, those paintings are beautiful and unique. I will keep exploring the possibilities of art,animation and psychology. New technology like AR and VR is also one of my study field. Hope i could know more people who have interesting in these fields,we can have more communication.
